Congratulations to coaches Mike Taylor and Ken Powell for successfully completing their National USSF E license training. The E license is the first in a series of National licenses which demonstrate knowledge and skill is soccer training.

SSFC Boys U18 Red Qualify for Premier 3

The South Sound Futbol Club boys U18 Red team qualified for the Washington State Youth Soccer Premier Division this past weekend in Bellingham. Battling 17 teams for the 4 highest positions, SSFC beat Lakewood North of Arlington 7-0. Offensively, the team was led by the Gonzalez brothers, Miguel and Daniel, who scored 5 of the goals.Securing the shut out in goal were goalies Daniel Gonzalez and Chris Matson, with a stellar effort by the defense led by captain Nick McCausland. In the 2nd game, SSFC defeated La Liga Tiaxtli 90 FC 4-1 led by strong play by midfielders Mitchel Pinedo and Alejandro Cisneros,and a stingy defense to qualify for the State Premier league. Other members of the team are midfielders Eric Palladino and Steven Roach,forward Kenny Kamau and defenders Juan Cisneros,Jose Pineda, and Ryan Ledoux. Team is coached by Andy & Matt Rivera. Job well done!
